After a scorching May and early June, it feels like the summer may have just passed us by this time round! We’re approaching the end of August, the kids are almost ready to go back to school and as much as we may want to deny it, we’re pretty sure it’s getting darker a little earlier than it used to. Whilst it’s not yet time to dust off our wool jumpers, it is time to start planning on what needs to go into storage and what needs to come out….

We’re sorry to say, it’s time to put those barbeques away. As September looms nearer, the kids will be returning to school and starting fresh in a new year. We know how fast they grow and change, so now would be a good time to go through their toys, clothes and other belongings and get rid of all the bits and pieces they’ve ultimately outgrown. Recycle what you can, give some items to charity, or store bits and pieces away that you think the younger siblings might make use of in a year or two. Of course, while you’re waiting for that to happen, you can always pop these items in self-storage so they aren’t cluttering up your home in the time being.

Trying to tidy a house that doesn’t have enough storage space is like making a meal without having the plates to serve it on.
