1. What is self storage?
Self Storage centres offer a variety of different size spaces to individuals or businesses to store their goods or belongings. From small lockers to large garage units and open storage we are there to provide the space you need when you need it. You can select the length of stay from a few weeks to many months and you can move to a bigger or smaller unit as you require. Once you have signed a contract and dealt with the formalities you can come and go via the secure electronic access whenever you need to. 2. Who is M-Store?
M-Store is a privately owned business, which is a part of a larger property company, Montgomery Property Group. Montgomery has been providing business space to SME's for more than 17 years. We have been involved in self storage for more than 5 years, building and renting the Cornish facility at Victoria to an operator before taking over the operation of the store in February 2011. We have a pipeline of new facilities to be developed over the next few years across the South and South West.

3. What kind of security is in your stores?
We take the security of your belongings very seriously. Our centres are equipped with sophisticated alarm systems and 24hr CCTV surveillance. Access to the stores is strictly controlled and monitored. Your unit is secured by your own padlock - only you have the key.
4. Do I need my own padlock?
Yes - you are the only person with access to your unit so ensure it is properly secured with a suitable padlock. Bring your own or we can supply you with one.
5. How much does it cost to store with M-Store?
The price of storage is based on the size of the room you need. Our online estimator will give you an indication of the size of unit that you need and and the price. If you turn up and its too big or small we will try and get you into another available unit.
6. Why are your prices online unlike other operators?
We know when you surf the internet you are look for information straight away and that includes the price. That's why we show you our standard prices and back it up with our price promise so you know immediately and without leaving your details what it will cost. If you want a formal quote then we will supply this. When you sign up our staff will tell you whether you are entitled to any further discounts or offers.
7. What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental period at M-Store is 1 month.
8. How long can I stay?
You are welcome to stay with us as long as you want.
9. How quickly can I move in?
You can move in straight away. We will just you to provide some ID and a method of payment and you can be in whatever space we have available immediately. If you want to pay by direct debit in future then bring your bank details.
10. What is included in the price?
The price you are quoted includes your storage charge and VAT. If you are a business any VAT chargeable will be separately identified. In addition to the storage charge you will need a padlock and you will need to ensure you have insurance. A refundable security deposit will also be taken equal to four weeks storage charge. This is refunded when you vacate.
11. Do I pay weekly or monthly?
We will take payment by Direct Debit or Credit Card each month on or about the date when you took occupation.
12. Do you offer discounts?
Yes - we have a variety of discounts and offers in place at any one time. From introductory offers to discounts for existing customers of our property business.
13. What do I need to set up a contract?
Two forms of ID, one that must be a photo ID (passport or driving licence) and a utility bill less than 3 months old. A method of payment, debit or credit card will be needed for the first invoice. If you want to.
14. What methods of payment are available?
You can pay by debit or credit card or direct debit from your bank. We will accept cash or cheques for you first payment - allow 10 days for cheques to clear before moving in. Ongoing payments should be by direct debit or a standing authority on a debit/credit card.
15. Do I need insurance?
Yes - you must have insurance whilst in our facility and you must declare the value of your goods at the time of signing-up. We can offer you cover under our own policy at competitive rates.
16. Can I park at the store?
Yes - free parking is available
17. Can I access my belongings whenever I want?
Yes - you will be given an electronic access card and PIN code to access the facility and you will hold the key to your own unit.
18. Can I move to another unit?
Yes - if you want to move and we have available space then this can be arranged by our staff.
19. Can I reserve online?
Yes - our new website offers functionality so you can place a deposit on a unit online.
20. How do I book?
Simply reserve your unit online and once you have walked in and confirmed a means of payment, your unit can be ready within 30 minutes.
For total peace of mind, all our customers must insure their goods. M-Store offers a cost effective policy in the event you do not have insurance. You'll simply pay a price for cover based on the replacement value of what you're storing with us
21. How long does it take to deliver retail items from the online store?
All orders placed by 3pm are dispatched on the same day using a next working day courier service. Please note that deliveries are processed from Monday-Friday 9am-6pm. Orders placed after 3pm on Friday will be dispatched on the following Monday.
22. How much does delivery of retail items from the online store cost?
Delivery is £5 flat rate.
