3 simple ways to increase your home’s value

Thinking about selling your home? Of course, you want to get as much for your property as possible, particularly in the current economic climate. To help you along, we’ve put together a few simple ways to increase your home’s value, without breaking the bank.
Paint
It sounds obvious but a lick of paint really can transform a home! Play it safe and stick to neutrals, overly bright or neon colours can actually be off-putting to potential buyers. Light colours can also give the illusion that a room is bigger than it really is.
Flooring
Worn-out carpets or stained floors can totally spoil the aesthetic of a room. If your floors need a little TLC, consider putting down a cheap carpet or even a vinyl floor with an attractive wood effect. Again, stick to neutrals and light colours wherever possible.
Declutter
If you’re moving home, it is likely you’ll have made a start on this anyway but if you have lots of things to sort through or maybe bulky furniture that makes it difficult to navigate your home, consider putting it in storage during the sale process. Too much clutter or furniture can make your home look smaller than it is as well as make it difficult to show potential buyers around.
