Sort The Garden For Summer

It feels as though summer has finally arrived – is your garden ready for some outdoor action? Although the world is a little more open to us this year compared with last, it’s still well worth getting everything ship shape and ready for whiling away some long days on home soil!  Here’s your essential garden jobs list:

Tidy up your flower beds and bushes

It’s easy to neglect your turf, flower beds and borders through those longer winter months. With the weather heating up, it’s never too late to get out there and give your lawn some love! Prune your plants, get rid of weeds and tidy up the boundaries. Hoik  the lawnmower from the shed and watch your garden transform.

Clear off the patio

Close enough to the house to act as the ultimate dumping ground, your patio may well be full of discarded tools, toys and furniture that needs sorting before you can sit with a nice cold beer and soak up the sun.  Be ruthless, if it hasn’t been used in 6 months, chances are it can be ditched or stored elsewhere for the timebeing.

Treat garden furniture

Having a garden bench and coffee table promises many hours of reading a book outside, enjoying tea with the family and soaking up the natural surroundings. Make sure that you treat your furniture properly so that it is protected against a sudden downpour and the sun.

Have the barbeque ready

You don’t want to be caught short when the sun finally comes out!  Clear off the barbecue, give it a good clean and check it for any accidental damage.  Stock up on coal or fill up the gas bottle and make sure the fridge is full of barbecue friendly food. We’re in Britain, you need to be ready to take advantage of a sunny summers’ evening at a moment’s notice!

Of course you may need to clear out a whole lot of clutter to make the garden ready for action.  If you’re struggling for storage at home, it may be time to think about getting a storage unit to give yourself extra space through the summer.  Give us a call  01726 890880 / 0800 878 9000 or email enquiries@m-store.biz for more info.
